Problems Receiving Email From Us
Occasionally some organizations may expierience difficulty receiving email from Brown and Brown of Washington. We have found in most cases that this
is caused by the email being improperly marked as spam. This can be for any of several reasons however it can in most cases be easily remedied by adding the following settings
to your anti-spam solution.
Add the following Domains to your anti-spam "White List" or "Always Allow List":
bbtacoma.com
bbtacoma.com
eifsinsure.com
chamber-benefits.com
nwfatrust.com
Add the following IP address to your anti-spam white list or "Always Allow List":
74.50.199.87
74.50.199.81
Problems Sending Email To Us
Brown and Brown makes use of two different anti-spam solutions to protect our Employees and Data from unsolicited email. At times these solutions can inadvertantly block legitimate
email communications from reaching their intended recipients. In both solutions each email recipient is responsible for determining what email messages are spam and what email messages are legitimate.
The first solution or line of defense is an anti-spam, anti-virus service provided by Postini (a google solution). This solution quarantines email identified as possible spam until the intended recipient can approve or reject the email.
The second solution is an internal anti-spam, anti-virus solution that works on our internal mail server. This solution also quarantines any email that is possibly identified as spam and may have made it past the postini servers.
If you are sending email to a legitimate Brown and Brown email address and it is not being received it is most likley in quarantine.
