An Employee Benefits Producer’s primary job is to generate new business production through the sale of employee benefits packages. Candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding of benefits insurance coverages and program designs, both of which are paramount in designing packages that fulfill all a customer’s needs. Commercial Account Manager

MAIN FUNCTION OF THE POSITION

To provide service to agency’s customers on their commercial insurance program through various means of communication with strong emphasis on retention and growth through prompt and courteous service. Assists Producers in the placement of new and renewal business.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide direct customer service support for commercial lines clients.
  • Issue appropriate documentation as needed including certificates of insurance, auto insurance ID cards, etc.
  • Completing applications, negotiating with underwriters and preparing proposals for new and renewal business proposals/offerings
  • Contact clients and/or underwriters to obtain additional information or answer questions
  • Resolves policy and coverage related concerns for clients, insurance carriers, and Producers.
  • Reviews accounts handled for adequate coverage. Demonstrated ability to educate, cross sell, and upsell coverages, recommending changes to insured for enhanced protection, ensuring Profit Center Minimum Standards are being met.
  • Process change requests and other coverage research issues
  • Assists with training of Account Technicians and Administrative Assistants
  • Review Aged Receivables, follows up on collection of premium payments and assist the accounting department in reconciliation of company and client accounts
  • Consistently meets all Brown & Brown established Quality Control Practices and Timelines
  • Manages & maintains individual Washington Producer’s License by attending appropriate CE classes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Current Washington State Insurance License, or must obtain within 60 days of hire
  • Minimum 3 years recent agency experience handling the service of a large book of business
  • Knowledgeable in property and construction preferred
  • Strong writing skills – ability to translate technical information in manner understandable to all levels of clients
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
  • Analytical, detail oriented and committed to accuracy
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Highly organized – ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office- (Word, Excel)

MAIN FUNCTION OF THE POSITION

The Commercial Lines Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively with Account Managers, Producers and insurance company partners to obtain and analyze commercial insurance quotes for agency clients and prospects. The Analyst’s primary responsibility is to ensure that clients and prospects are presented with accurate and reliable information that represents the best terms and conditions available in the insurance marketplace.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide direct customer service support for personal and commercial lines clients.
  • Ability to translate highly technical information for the client’s understanding.
  • Resolves policy and coverage related concerns for clients, insurance carriers, and Producers.
  • Binds or places coverage with acceptable carriers adhering to appropriate carriers binding authority.
  • Issue appropriate documentation as needed including certificates of insurance, auto insurance ID cards, etc.
  • Reviews accounts handled for adequate coverage. Demonstrated ability to educate, cross sell, and upsell coverages, recommending changes to insured for enhanced protection, ensuring Profit Center Minimum Standards are being met.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Work closely with Producers and Account Managers for placement of new & renewal business
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of communications and insurance documents as required
  • Develop and foster quality relationships with teammates and carrier partners
  • Interpret, analyze and negotiate coverage based on individual clients needs
  • Review and resolve policy and coverage-related concerns for clients
  • Consistently meet all Brown & Brown established quality control procedures and timelines
  • Compile and create proposals, summaries and additional analytical documents as requested
  • Schedule meetings with carrier partners to discuss capabilities and goal-setting
  • Assist in training of potential Producers in Training or Account Management staff, as directed
  • Actively participate in social, civic, and trade organizations to represent Brown & Brown’s community/client commitment
  • Property & Casualty insurance license (if not already held, obtain within 30 days of hire)
